Sopranos Finale: Brilliant or Bloated?
Call it whatever YOU may, but if the final scenes of a TV show can make me so uneasy as to get me off the bed, crouched in the fetal position, hand in front of my face, watching through my fingers, I'd call that brilliant. This one didn't go quietly into the good night.
I think David Chase knows his audience intimately and knows how to wind us up. So what if the family didn't get whacked? So what if Tony doesn't go to jail.... that doesn't make or break the show. What makes it outstanding is how it consistently keeps the audience on pins and needles. Even in the final minutes.
In a way, it's like a player. It keeps us wanting more.

Adrian, I have a bone to pick with you...
Adrian Grenier could be the most handsom actor before audiences in quite sometime (for those of you w/o HBO, he's the lead in Entourage). He has that certain something that keeps you glued to the tube/theater... yum!
But I have a bone to pick with Mr. Grenier... Just saw his new HBO film "Shot in the Dark" -- a personal documentary following his search for his biological father. It featured a FAKE ending that sent me into tears in the worst way. The point of documentaries are that they are "non-fiction" in their ENTIRETY... right? Apparently not..
Uncool!
